  • Ability to perform bindery hand work, stand for extended periods and frequently lift up to 10 pounds

  • Ability to operate various types of folding and binding equipment

Title: Sales Director

Location: Parsons, KS

Employment Status: Full time, Days

Description:

The Flesh Company, a long time leader in the business forms industry, is seeking dynamic individual for the position of Sales Director at its Parsons Kansas manufacturing facility. This position is available due to the upcoming retirement of our associate of 39 years.

The position is responsible for the delivery of exceptional sales and customer services to our clientele. It involves overseeing the activities of account managers and sales assistants. Responsibilities include setting quotas and goals, establishing training programs for our sales associates, and developing relationships with our customers.

This position reports directly to Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing with key relationships with Plant Manager, CFO, President, and CEO.

The Flesh Company, an innovator and industry leader in the manufacturing of business forms, recently began its 99th year of operations.

If you’re a seasoned sales manager with 5 or more years of experience, have the ability to develop the performance of the account managers, can create action plans and penetrate new markets please submit your resume.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Responsible for the performance and development of the Account Managers.
  • Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programs.
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Conducts one-on-one review with all Account Managers to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Account Managers sales and activity performance.
  • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
  • Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Managers.
  • Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses.
  • Assists Account Managers in preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Recruits, tests, and hires Account Managers based on criteria agreed upon by senior management.

Relationships and Roles:

Internal / External Cooperation

  • Insures that all Account Managers meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, proposals and quotes.
  • Delegates authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
  • Sets examples for Account Managers in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
  • Conducts regular coaching and counseling with Account Managers to build motivation and selling skills.
  • Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

Job Specifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in sales management.
  • Experience in the print or a print related field.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams

Fluent in Microsoft Office
