Flesh Co Increases Capacity

Flesh Co has recently invested in two new equipment additions to increase their capacity. A turret rewinder was added to their label division and an online Kodak Prosper inkjet unit was added to one of the rotary forms presses. The turret will increase Flesh Co’s ability to keep up with customer demand for custom labels on small rolls. The addition of the Kodak Prosper unit was to both increase their capacity for online variable imaging as well as provide added value for their clients. “Our customers are finding more and more applications requiring variable imaging using 1D and 2D barcodes”, says Randy Lewis, VP of Manufacturing. “Many of the new applications require better coverage and higher resolution barcodes for accurate scanning. The Kodak Prosper installation will allow us to support distributors whose clients are requiring image quality well over the normal 240-300 dpi mark.” Both acquisitions follow the company’s long term commitment to keep current with new technologies to support their distributors.
